DIY: Nail Polish (Part 1)

I don't know about you guys...

But I go through WAY too much nail polish to spend $5+ a bottle.
And the fact that I love having shit tons of different colors doesn't exactly help my situation.
But never fear!
Here's a way to make your own nail polish colors for MUCH less than buying brand names at the store.

I originally saw this on Pinterest, (surprise, surprise)
And decided to give it a go :)

You will need:
- clear nail polish (I got mine from The Dollar Tree)
- dry eyeshadow (any color you want)
- a piece of paper

Step 1:
The first step is creating your funnel.
(that's how you're going to get your shadow into that little bottle without a mess)
Start with a piece of notebook paper.

Step 2:

Fold it in half.

Step 3:

Tear it in half.

Step 4:

Using one of the halves, roll the paper tightly,
starting at a corner and working diagonally,
making sure one end is small enough to fit in the polish bottle.

It'll look something like this. ^^

Step 5:

Insert funnel into the bottle.
Make sure it doesn't touch the polish.
(if it does the shadow will clump at the bottom and clog the funnel)

 Step 6:
Slowly add the eye shadow powder.

** I used eye shadow that was already in loose powder form. If you are using pressed powder, just crush it up before adding it to the polish. **

Step 7:

Add as much powder as you would like.
Just remember, the more powder, the more opaque the polish will be.

**I decided to use a half full bottle for my first attempt, to make sure that there was room.
You may do this or use a new bottle, just be cautious and don't let it overflow.**

Now just shake it and wa-la!

See you later loves ;)

PS: don't need a full bottle? Keep an eye out for Part 2 :)
