December Photo Challenge: Calligraphy

Day 13: Handwriting

Every year at our Christmas party my boss does superlatives.
Basically what she does is writes something down about a person, reads it out anonymously and everyone guesses who she's talking about.
Some are funny, some are serious, but it's always easy to guess who she's talking about.

The picture above is the one she wrote out for me, and I almost cried.
I love my boss.

Day 12: B&W

Tonight was the night of my store's Christmas party.
I wore a kick ass dress and my favorite shoes and... couldn't figure out what to do with my hair.
I put it up, I put it back down, I pulled my "bangs" back, everything looked stupid.
I even fishtailed it with hopes that that would satisfy me enough to at least leave it alone.
But of course that wasn't the case.

The braid lasted about ten minutes before I took it out, but at least I got a picture of it ;)

Day 11: Music

"Animals" by Maroon5

I feel weird about it but I really REALLY like this song. Why it is weird? The music video.
Have you seen it? It's a giant confusing shitstorm of horror and sexuality.

It was hot and terrifying all at the same time.
And if you say you feel differently you are either a liar or you are made of stone.

December Photo Challenge: Locks

Day 10: Hair

I'm getting DANGEROUSLY close to mermaid status.
Until just a couple years ago my hair never even touched my shoulders.
I don't know if I can ever go back...

December Photo Challenge: Come Up to the Lab...

Day 9: Red

Channeling my inner Rocky Horror for this one ;)
I feel like I should be having elbow sex with a bald hunchback.

I've really been digging red lipstick lately.
I only wear it when I dress up (which isn't often), but I always feel awesome when I do.
Being super pale is finally paying off ;)

December Photo Challenge: Wise Words

Day 8: Quote

One of my favorite holiday quotes :)
I know it hasn't been around a very long time, but I can't help but feel a little giddy when I hear it.
Christmas means different things to different people throughout their lifetime, and for me right now it's about love, friendship and trying to make people happy.
When you grow up it's easy to forget about the magic of Christmas, and this quote always helps me find it again.

December Photo Challenge: GRYFFINDOR!!

Day 7: Scarf

My friend Jake gave me this scarf for Christmas a couple years ago and it's been my favorite ever since.
It's all about House Pride ;)

December Photo Challenge: Tacky Sweater Cats

Day 6: Outfit

Wore this little gem to one of my co-workers' Christmas parties :)
I've never taken part in an ugly sweater party before, but I absolutely loved it.
Definitely keeping this one around for next year.

December Photo Challenge: Hint, It Has It's Own Channel...

Day 5: Weather

Today was a total cop-out.
The sun was longggg goneee by the time I remembered what the day's challenge was.
My b :/

Enjoy Chris Pratt's chin ;)

Decemeber Photo Challenge: Downside Up

Day 4: Upside Down

Coming up with an idea for this day was more challenging than I thought it would be.
My first thought was to get a picture of myself upside down. I thought it would look cool to see my hair right side up while upside down (it makes sense...).
But that picture was almost impossible to take by myself, and after about six attempts I caved and came up with something else.

My shoes are cooler anyway ;)

December Photo Challenge: Vice

Day 3: Addiction

There is no denying that I have a problem with caffeine.
I get Starbucks almost every morning when I go to work. For a long time I thought it was just a psychological thing, until I started getting horrible headaches whenever I would go more than a day without something with espresso.

I really hate that I'm addicted to something, and know that I need to kick it.
But that's a challenge for another day.

Tunesday: Bublé

Happy Tuesday all :)
I don't have anything new this week, but I do have a song I've been partial to these last few days.

"Haven't Met You Yet" by Michael Bublé

This song has been in my iTunes library since it came out (in 2009), and I've listened to it many times.
But I just saw the music video for the first time about a week ago, and now I just can't stop.

Let's start with the obvious: Michael Bublé is both dreamy and adorable.

I know I know, he's your mom's favorite (and if you think he's not, you're lying to yourself), but he's actually quite wonderful.

Not only does he have a lovely Canadian mug...

but he's also CRAZY awesome.

He used the term "Holy Shitballs" on stage.
That's the dream.

But even if you set Bublé aside, the song is just great.
It's impossible to be in a bad mood when you're listening to it.
It's just so peppy and happy, you can't help but let it take you in. And it makes everything you see happier too.
See that guy and girl riding their bikes down the street? They're in total love.
And the lady at the store who greets you at the store? She's legitimately happy to see you.

I know it's almost Christmas and we don't really need any other reason to be jolly, but I can't help it :)

See you later ;)

December Photo Challenge: Locked Out

Day 2: Screen Lock

Behold the beauty that is Chris Pratt.
I usually stick to landscapes and colorful photography as my phone wallpapers, but I just had to make an exception ;)

2 down, 28 to go ;)

December Photo Challenge: Mugshot

Day 1: Your Face

That's ma' mug.
I don't wear makeup 90% of the time these days, so this is pretty typical.
Getting this picture was really hard for some reason.
Like, I didn't want to smile, but I have a bit of a resting bitch face so... yeah.
That's what that ^^ is.

Tomorrow? ;)

December Photo Challenge

Hey guys :)

Haven't blogged in a bit. I would love to say that I have a good reason, and I'm sure if I really thought about it I would have a few (people coming to visit, birthdays, working a little bit more, getting ready for the holidays), but in actuality I think I've just been lazy.

But now I'm back! :)

My friends and I are doing a December Photo Challenge on the Instagram.
What a better way to get back into the flow of posting? ;)

I typed up this challenge myself, combining 2 or 3 different challenges that were already on Instagram.

Here's to hoping I remember to do it everyday ;)
(my friend will yell at me if I don't...)
