30 Day Photo Challenge: Favorite Quote

Day 7:
your favorite quote

So many wise words that have left the lips of wise men and women.
Whether they're figures of today or souls long since past, their quotations force us to look past the words and ponder the deeper meaning behind them.
Some inspire, others discourage, but they all make their impact.

One of my favorite quotes comes from one of my favorite fictional characters, Jack Dawson.
The young free spirited man that won his way onto the Titanic with a lucky poker hand. By a total coincidence, he also just happens to be portrayed by one of my favorite actors.

The quote is "I figure life's a gift and I don't intend on wasting it.".

This line is particularly gripping simply because it works on all levels.
Whether you are looking for inspiration to rise above and accomplish something great, or simply need reassurance when things don't quite go your way, this quote can bring peace to your mind.

What I get from it is simple: be happy.
Life is short, and why should we waste time fretting about failures or kicking ourselves for those risks we never took?

It reminds me of another quote:
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

Love the life that has been given to you. It's meant for you and you alone; cherish it and never take it for granted.

Okay, done with the mush.
(it's totally true though ;)

See you tomorrow :)
